Your teeth may appear clean but stuck under the gums, are bacteria hiding close to your bone.

This essentially is gum or bone disease, and there are different levels of severity.

Have you heard of gingivitis or periodontitis?

Let’s picture a 20 year old carpet. For the last 20 years you have vacuumed and cleaned this carpet.  You may have even deep cleaned this carpet a couple times.

After each time the carpet appears clean, right? Or is it clean? How clean were you really able to keep this carpet over the years?

When it comes time to replace this 20 year old carpet, I’m sure you wouldn’t be surprised to see all the dirt and grime that was stuck under it.

If you’ve ever replaced a carpet you know what I mean. Your teeth and gums are like this carpet.

You clean them daily as much as you can really.  They may appear clean enough, but stuck under the gums, are bacteria hiding close to your bone. This essentially is gum or bone disease, and there are different levels of severity.

If your dentist or hygienist has ever said you have gingivitis, then you have had the first level of gum and bone disease.

We battle your gum and bone disease a few ways, but it all starts with frequent ultrasonic dental cleanings.  This allows us to clean under your gums where the bacteria hide, and sometimes that’s all you need!
